Get Your Summer 2016 Email Marketing In Gear

Summer officially begins June 20th, which is why this post is being written while running on a treadmill.

But getting summer ready isn’t only body related, it’s email related too. We can’t stress enough how being timely and topical will set you apart from other email marketers. If you haven’t begun to think about your summer email campaigns then allow us to throw some ideas your way because it’ll help keep us from eating the ice cream in the freezer.

Major Holidays

We’ll go ahead and get this out of the way from the start. The 4th of July and Labor Day are the big summer holidays to have something planned for (also, don’t forget Memorial Day is coming up).

And while not a bank holiday, the official start to summer is another idea you capitalize on.

Summer Vacation

If you’re involved even slightly in travel, this is a big time of year for you. Start rolling out those deals and rope your subscribers in.

And on the other side of that is school summer vacation. Be a savior and help parents keep their kids entertained. And, well, it’s never too early to remind them that their little terrors will be returning to their educational prison soon enough.

“Hello? Yes, please send all the wine. Thanks.”

Pool and Beach Season

Obviously people are going to want to stay cool. And outside of standing in front of their freezers in their underwear, the pool and the beach is the best place to do that.

So even if you don’t sell things associated with the pool or the beach, you can’t still find clever ways to tie your marketing into that aspect.

Festival Season

If weren’t aware, festivals are all the rage. There the only places you dudes can walk around wearing bandannas as scarves and ladies can wear flower crowns and no one thinks twice about it.

Hmm. Not enough stars.

Hmm. Not enough stars.

So here’s another opportunity for you to tie in your marketing and come off as timely. Just because you aren’t directly related to the industry, doesn’t mean you can’t make it work for your brand.
